La Taquiza Vegana (LTV) started as a dream to change the world. The owners, Nicholas Eiser and Devyn Howell are working hard to make it a reality. The foundation of LTV is compassion and sustainability with love at the forefront. Both owners have not been vegan their entire life, so they are aware of the challenges that come with confronting others about their beliefs. They come at it from a place of understanding rather than criticism. They want La Taquiza Vegana to be a place where everyone can come and experience…
Nicholas has been vegan for four years and before that, his diet relied heavily on animal products. He lived in Mexico on a farm for a few years as a young teenager working around animals, while being taught to view them as products. One day, veganism was introduced to him by a friend and he was interested in losing weight and being healthier so he worked on adopting a plant-based diet. It quickly became about more than just the food he was eating, and it became a lifestyle. Nicholas has always been passionate about cooking and now he can combine that same passion with a passion for helping the animals, the environment and people.
Devyn grew up loving animals and was introduced to a vegan lifestyle by watching a documentary. She was deeply affected by what she learned and after being vegetarian for almost two years, she went vegan. She quickly became and activist and found her true purpose in life, speaking up for the animals and creating change. Devyn has a background in marketing and graphic design and loves speaking up for the animals through visuals and creative processes.
La Taquiza Vegana was born out of a deep desire to make a positive change in the world and create a shift in society, where animals are no longer viewed as commodities, the environment is thriving and people are living their best lives. The roots of LTV are based in love, compassion and change. The company is dedicated to being 100% sustainable, locally sourced and contributing to a zero-waste lifestyle.
